Kubu Incumbent More Focus Gerindra Not Indonesia
Jurnal Update. Sudirman Said, Director of the National Winning Body (BPN) Debate Presidential Candidate Pair number 02 Prabowo Subianto and Sandiaga Salahudin Uno said the reason for not attacking Prabowo-Sandi at the first debate was on Thursday (01/17/2019) night.
It is known, Prabowo has been attacked by issues regarding corruption and a gender perspective to the incumbent presidential candidate. According to the Director of the BPN Debate, Prabowo did not want to make the presidential election now become riotous.
"He said that this election is not a riot, this election is a matter of fighting ideas, offering good things in society, not cornering the public," he said at the Sarinah Building, Central Jakarta, Saturday (1/19).
Then, the former Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources revealed, Prabowo's attitude showed the political elite more calm and relaxed. Although, more can bring coolness to the people below.
"We just relaxed, but right when we responded with the policy, it continued to be a personal matter, but what I'm grateful for is that Mr. Prabowo is not provoked," he said.
"If the elite can show calm, not aggressively, not cornering the bottom is also maintained," he continued.
So, the former Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Sudirman Said hoped the regulation in the debate could be more relaxed and calm. Although, he said the regulations that were not rigid had the originality of the debate more felt the atmosphere.
"The rule or debate rules are made more relaxed, more organic, so don't be too rigid so that the boundaries that cause candidate originality do not come out, because they are too rigid in the procedure so they don't focus on content," he concluded.
